Required Permissions
Getcaller requires certain permissions to function properly. Here is what each permission is used for:
- Contacts (optional): Allows Getcaller to sync your contacts so other users can see a name when they search for a number. Your contacts are stored securely and never shared publicly.
- Notifications: Allows Getcaller to send you alerts when someone views your number or when there are important updates.
- Internet Access: Required to perform phone number lookups and communicate with our servers.
How to Grant Permissions
- When you first open Getcaller, you will be prompted to grant permissions.
- Tap Allow for each permission you want to grant.
- If you accidentally denied a permission, go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Getcaller > Permissions and enable the required permissions manually.
Privacy Note: Getcaller respects your privacy. Contact sync is optional and you can use the app without it. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Managing Permissions Later
You can change permissions at any time through your device settings. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > Getcaller > Permissions. On iOS, go to Settings > Getcaller. Note that disabling certain permissions may limit app functionality.
