Understanding Spam Scores

What Is a Spam Score?

A spam score is a measure of how many times a phone number has been reported as spam by the Getcaller community. The higher the spam score, the more likely the number is associated with spam or scam activity.

How Spam Scores Are Calculated

Spam scores are based on user reports:

  • Low (1-5 reports): The number has received a few spam reports. It may be a telemarketer or an occasionally unwanted caller.
  • Medium (6-20 reports): The number has been flagged by multiple users. Exercise caution when receiving calls from this number.
  • High (20+ reports): The number is widely reported as spam. It is very likely a spam caller, robocall, or scam operation.
Important: Spam scores are community-driven indicators and not a definitive judgment. A number with a low spam score might still be spam, and legitimate businesses may occasionally receive false reports.
