Troubleshooting

Caller ID Not Working - How to Fix

Common Causes

If Getcaller is not identifying callers as expected, it could be due to one of these reasons:

  • The phone number is not in our database.
  • Your internet connection is unstable.
  • The app needs to be updated to the latest version.
  • Required permissions have not been granted.

Step-by-Step Fix

  1. Check your internet connection: Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Getcaller requires internet access to look up numbers.
  2. Update the app: Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and check if there is an update available for Getcaller. Install the latest version.
  3. Check permissions: Make sure all required permissions are granted. Go to your device Settings > Apps > Getcaller > Permissions.
  4. Restart the app: Close Getcaller completely and reopen it. On Android, swipe the app away from the recent apps list. On iOS, swipe up from the bottom and swipe the app away.
  5. Restart your device: A simple device restart can resolve many issues.
Note: Getcaller can only identify numbers that exist in our database. If a number has never been reported or saved by any user, it may not have associated information. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the app.
