Common Causes
If Getcaller is not identifying callers as expected, it could be due to one of these reasons:
- The phone number is not in our database.
- Your internet connection is unstable.
- The app needs to be updated to the latest version.
- Required permissions have not been granted.
Step-by-Step Fix
- Check your internet connection: Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Getcaller requires internet access to look up numbers.
- Update the app: Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and check if there is an update available for Getcaller. Install the latest version.
- Check permissions: Make sure all required permissions are granted. Go to your device Settings > Apps > Getcaller > Permissions.
- Restart the app: Close Getcaller completely and reopen it. On Android, swipe the app away from the recent apps list. On iOS, swipe up from the bottom and swipe the app away.
- Restart your device: A simple device restart can resolve many issues.
Note: Getcaller can only identify numbers that exist in our database. If a number has never been reported or saved by any user, it may not have associated information. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the app.
