Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Push Notifications

Check Notification Settings

  1. iOS: Go to Settings > Notifications > Getcaller. Make sure "Allow Notifications" is enabled, along with Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners.
  2. Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Getcaller > Notifications. Ensure all notification categories are enabled.

Additional Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check Do Not Disturb: Make sure Do Not Disturb mode is turned off, or add Getcaller as an exception.
  2. Check battery optimization: On Android, go to Settings > Battery > Getcaller and set to "Unrestricted" or "Not optimized." Battery optimization can prevent notifications from being delivered.
  3. Ensure internet connection: Push notifications require an active internet connection to be received.
  4. Update the app: Install the latest version of Getcaller from your app store.
  5. Log out and log back in: This refreshes your notification token and can resolve delivery issues.
Tip for Android users: Some Android manufacturers (especially Xiaomi, Huawei, and Oppo) have aggressive battery management that kills background apps. See our Special Setup for Xiaomi/MIUI Devices guide for specific instructions.

Test Notifications

After making changes, ask a friend to search for your phone number on Getcaller. You should receive a "Who Viewed Me" notification. If you still do not receive it, contact support at [email protected].
