Reporting a Spam Number in the App
If a number looks like spam or a scam call, you can report it directly from Getcaller so other users see that context too.
- Open the Getcaller app and search for the number.
- On the result page, tap Report Spam.
- Confirm that you want to report the number.
What Reporting Does
When you report a number, it adds to that number's report count. Numbers with more reports may show a spam indicator to other users searching the same number — this is community-sourced context, not a guarantee that the number is spam or that it will be blocked automatically.
Report Responsibly
Note: Only report numbers you genuinely believe are spam or unwanted. Reporting a number you simply don't recognize, or a legitimate business, can create inaccurate context for other users.
Reporting from the Web
You can also report a number through web.getcaller.net. Sign in, search the number, and use the same report option available in the app.
After You Report
Reporting adds visibility, not automatic blocking. If you want to stop calls from a number, use your phone's own blocking feature (Android: Recent Calls > tap the number > Block or report spam; iOS: Recents > tap the (i) icon > Block this Caller) in addition to reporting it in Getcaller. No app can guarantee every spam or scam call will be blocked, so reviewing context first is still worth doing.
